With each question the little rabbit has, their mother's answers follow a pattern: she is the way she is because she loves her child very much. The book effectively tells the story in both Mandarin and English through the use of Mandarin characters, simplified pronunciations, and the English version. In addition, the illustrations are simple, but effective in displaying the bond between mother and child.
