An opening author's note extends the Arabic word for "if God wills it" beyond Muslims to include many religions' concept of a greater power. Safety, kindness, strength, faith, friendship, and truth are all part of this heartfelt prayer, and the volume closes with "Inshallah you are loved, like the moon loves the sky."
