Small Things by Mel Tregonning is a brilliantly illustrated graphic novel that depicts the effects of anxiety and depression on a child. Throughout the book you see the child struggling to manage his school work, and socialize with others. At times those little voices in our heads are so loud and overwhelming that they begin to eat away at our self-esteem and ability to focus on everyday tasks. This is a topic that is not often discussed with young children and a great way to get the conversation started.
