Taking flight.”) followed by the question: “What will grow?” Guesses are encouraged by visual hints, and confirmed in both art and text (“Dandelion.”) Fold-out pages are used intermittently to emphasize the growth trajectory of a seed: a page that folds down shows a cut-away of carrots growing underground, while a page that folds up showcases a tall pine tree. Final pages offer supplemental information about each of the seeds and outline the four stages of growth from seed to plant. (Ages 2-5)
