From the Publisher
Loris Lesynski is back with a hilarious new picture book, written in rhyming verse and full of fun.Eddie likes to stay up late. Unlike other kids, he just doesn't get tired. His problems seem solved when Eddie discovers a school for kids just like him. He quickly enrolls. At nine p.m. the bus arrives in front of Eddie's door and drives him straight to night school. It is a great idea and Eddie is keen to begin, but he can't help noticing that things are a little different at this new school: night themes dominate each lesson. They seem to be studying the moon and owls and werewolf howls. At recess, instead of going outside, they watch the late show on a TV in the hall. Lunchtime is hard in the pitch black yard, but each kid is given a light to help out. So, while everyone else he knows is snuggled in bed, Eddie is busy learning instead.Ever so slowly a change takes place and somewhere around four a.m. Eddie begins to feel...tired! Fighting his sleepiness, Eddie wonders out loud when morning will come. When he mentions the word morning, the teacher immediately sends all the new students to the office! At this strange new school Eddie has uttered a bad word.Up the stairs to the office they go, each floor becoming stranger than the last. Are those ghosts Eddie spots or is he just too tired? When the principal greets the new students with his plans to keep them at school always, allowing them to sleep the day away in the dungeons, Eddie has had enough! He leads the others into action, and down the stairs they flee. The teachers give chase. As they close in, Eddie has a brilliant idea. With a loud, cheery shout of Good Morning he stops his pursuers flat.Eddie is off. Heruns the whole way home and straight to bed!
