Book Description
for Why Dogs Have Wet Noses by Øyvind Torseter and Kenneth Steven
From The United States Board on Books for Young People (USBBY)
Noah builds the Ark as it starts to rain and rain, and he invites creatures from all over the world. The Ark is crowded and noisy and Noah is busy feeding them all. After 21 days, a small hole springs and Noah tells his dog that they need a plan fast. He sticks his dog's nose through the hole, and it fit perfectly! Noah's dog stayed perfectly still, and the water washed over his nose, but not into the Ark. They reached land, and from then on, every dog had a wet nose.
