Each child picks her or his favorite vegetable to grow in their patch, and each child describes how that vegetable was planted and tended. Carrots, radishes, potatoes, zucchini, and beans are eventually harvested and turned into a beautiful and delicious salad. Specific tips for growing each of the five vegetables are included in this attractive and appealing oversize volume. (Ages 4-9)
